This Privacy Policy explains what information 9Goals (operated by Darryl Brick (ABN 30 939 401 159), trading as 9Goals) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We store the goal titles you enter so we can display your board back to you. We also keep standard technical logs (like IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.

We use your information to: provide and operate the Service; verify your email address and let you reset your password; respond to support requests; and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with service providers who help us run 9Goals — for example, an email delivery provider to send verification and password-reset emails, and our hosting provider to run the application. These providers only receive what they need to perform their function.

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a security cookie to protect against cross-site request forgery, and — if you check "Remember me" when logging in — a cookie that keeps you signed in between visits. These are all required for the Service to work and aren't used to track you across other websites. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

Your goal color palette and light/dark appearance preferences aren't cookies — your palette is saved to your account, and your appearance preference is stored locally in your browser.

You can view and update your name and email at any time from Settings. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings — we don't retain a copy after deletion beyond what's required for legal or security purposes. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as under GDPR or CCPA) to access, correct, or export your data — contact us and we'll help.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data promptly, except where we're required to keep it for a legitimate legal or security reason.

9Goals is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you (for example, by email) before they take effect.
